The relationship between early maladaptive schemas and marital satisfaction among married women

Abstract

Early Maladaptive schema have relation with childrearing and they could influence on marital conflict. The Current study aimed to study the relationship between early maladaptive schemas and marital satisfaction among married women students at the Islamic Azad University of Tehran is the center. Methods: This current study is descriptive study and our samples were married women in university students. 144 married women students selected randomly and they fill out   Enrich marital satisfaction questionnaire and Young Schema Questionnaire short version (YSO-SF). Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation, linear regression, and simple step-by SPSS software. Results: Results showed that there is a negative correlation between maladaptive schemas and marital satisfaction (P.0/001).

Conclusion: According to the results of early maladaptive schema can predict marital dissatisfaction.
