The role of demographic features in predicting marital commitment in couples referring to Tehran Psychology Clinic in 1396

Abstract

Objective: Quantitative studies of the relationship between demographic characteristics and marital commitment are measured. Low awareness and insignificance towards these characteristics leads to their survival and the continuation of the negative consequences of them, such as the loss of marital quality. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the role of pathology of demographic characteristics in predicting marital commitment in couples referring to psychology clinic. Method: The present study was a descriptive-correlational method in terms of applied purpose. The statistical population of the study consisted of all couples referring to three psychology and counseling clinics in Tehran during the period from January 15, 1996 to April 15, 1999, and the sample size was 110 in pairs (55 women and 55 men ) Were selected by non-random sampling method and Adams & Jones and (DCI) (1997) marital commitment questionnaire. SPSS 22 was used for statistical analysis. Results: The results of regression analysis showed that the factor of number of children from demographic factors at a significant level of 0.01 was positive predictive of marital commitment.
