Investigating the impact of job performance on the basis of social capital

Abstract

Function and social capital are two important and interdisciplinary categories that today have a special status in the field of management and seem to be mutually influential. Considering the importance of these two important categories and doing very little research on the relationship between these two variables, this study sought to investigate the effect of social capital index on performance. This research can be considered as a type of applied-development research. The research method is descriptive-analytic. The statistical population of this research was all employees of Islamabad city of west that were present at the parks level of the city during one day. The period of this research is autumn of 1396. The number of statistical societies is equal to (65). The sample size was 65 people based on the census. Pearson test was used to analyze the data. The results indicate that there is a meaningful relationship between social capital and job performance. There is a significant relationship between hierarchy and job performance. Also, there is a meaningful relationship between sub social capital and occupational functioning. Therefore, it can generally be said that social capital in a society, city, and school environment can be considered as a positive and supportive way of improving job performance in different dimensions and indicators.
