Application of the Components of Growth-Oriented Theories by Elementary School Teachers of Babol city

Abstract
This research aims on studying the application of the components of growth-oriented theory on elementary school teachers of Babol city. This research was conducted by descriptive-surveying method including all elementary school teachers of Babol city both male and female in 1100 persons. Sampling was conducted by cluster sampling method and 350 persons were selected as sample. Research measurement tool was the researcher-made questionnaire including 13 questions based on five-point Likert spectrum. The validity of questionnaire was determined using content validity, and its reliability was estimated 0.95 using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Research results showed that the elementary school teachers mostly try to teach the basic concepts to students and are not so concerned about cognitive and ethical growth and reasoning. The results of inferential parts showed that two-expression statistic was significant in P≥0.05. Thus, it can be claimed that using the components of growth-oriented theory by teachers was higher than average level. Furthermore, Friedman statistics value was significant (P≥0.05) in comparison of application of the components of growth-oriented theory. Thus, there is difference among application of components of growth-oriented theory.
